Mrs. Larsen has been a Texas Theatre Educator for twenty years. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts and Master of Arts in Theatre at Texas State University & worked as a costume designer for three years prior to obtaining her Secondary Teaching Certificate.

Mrs. Larsen began her teaching career in San Antonio & worked in the SAISD at Burbank High School & NEISD at Theodore Roosevelt High School for eleven years where she established technical theatre programs.

In 2009, Mrs. Larsen and her family relocated to Temple, Texas where she was employed by the TISD & instructed theatre at Lamar Middle School for four years prior to serving as the theatre director at Little River-Academy ISD where she instructed theatre at both the middle and high school campuses.

During her employment at AHS, her students qualified for Conference 3-A State UIL OAP three times, won the UIL OAP State Championship in 2018, earned First Place 3-A Conference Theatre Team State Championship in 2017 & 2018 and State Qualifiers for UIL Theatre Design in 2019 and 2020.
